Advanced Technology
What is CEREC?
CEREC stands for Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics. It is a state-of-the-art computer-aided design and manufacturing (CAD/CAM) system that allows our team to create high-quality ceramic restorations right here in the practice, in a single visit.
Gone are the days of messy impressions, temporary crowns and multiple appointments. With CEREC, your restoration is digitally designed, precision-milled and permanently bonded - all in one sitting.
The Process
How CEREC Works
Digital Scan
We take a precise 3D digital scan of your tooth using an intraoral camera. No messy impressions or putty required.
Design
Using advanced software, your restoration is designed on screen to match your natural tooth shape, size and bite perfectly.
Mill
The design is sent to our in-house milling unit, which carves your restoration from a solid block of high-quality ceramic in around 15 minutes.
Fit
Your finished restoration is tried in, adjusted for comfort and colour-matched before being permanently bonded to your tooth.
